Took my car to Euromaster Autohaus Artarmon for its annual service and a battery replacement. Faz was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and kept me informed every step of the way. The team clearly knows their stuff when it comes to European cars. The service was efficient, pricing was fair, and the whole experience was smooth and professional. Highly recommend them if you want your car in good hands!

I wish there is more STRAS that i can rate more than 5 stars. My vw golf had been getting an annual service for 8 years the dealership$$$. But I realised that car has been showing me a problem. I took it back to the dealership and they can’t detect any and said ok to drive. But this car had been stopped on the middle of the road.
I googled this company and took it to get fixed. It was diagnosed as having a transmission problem.
My car got fixed sound and safe yet fast time frame. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED !!!
Highly recommend! I had my Audi A5 serviced with Euromaster today and was delighted with the experience. This is the first time outside of Audi and it did not disappoint. Like other reviews have mentioned, you are greeted warmly by Faz and he explains everything to you. After dropping in your car he calls post car inspection to confirm what needs attention, prioritising the must do items and prompts on things to keep an eye on. The workshop is clean, the team are knowledgeable and availability to service the car was within a week. Thank you for your care and instilling my trust in a good, honest mechanic!

Types of Calibration

Static Calibration

Static calibration is done in a controlled workshop environment with specialised targets or fixtures. While keeping the vehicle stationary, cameras, radar, and lidar sensors are aligned according to manufacturer specifications. It’s an essential step for systems such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), which rely on precise positioning.

Dynamic Calibration

Dynamic calibration requires driving the vehicle under specific conditions while onboard sensors recalibrate in real time. This ensures that systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist behave correctly in the real world. This is done by our professional technicians, who calibrate the sensors on the manufacturer’s recommendations to ensure that they are working as they were designed to in any environment the vehicle is operating in.

Initialisation

Some vehicle systems require initialisation before the calibration can begin. This process lets the onboard computer find brand-new hardware or software updates. New radar sensors, cameras, or electronic modules may also require initialisation. At Euromaster Autohaus, procedures are diligently followed to ensure proper integration of recalibrated systems.

Tools and Equipment Used

At Euromaster Autohaus we perform diagnostics to ensure your battery is calibrated properly using special calibrated equipment. Our experts use vehicle-specific diagnostics scan tools, calibration targets, alignment rigs, laser measuring tools, and manufacturer-specific software updates. These tools ensure that the advanced systems in your vehicle are working properly.

Diagnostic Scan Tools

Advanced diagnostic scan tools connect to a vehicle’s onboard computer system to read and report system errors, including diagnostic trouble codes (DTC), measure long-term calculations and identify calibration needs.

Calibration Targets and Fixtures

Static calibration needs specialised targets and fixtures to be set at specific distances relative to the vehicle. They are mainly used to align cameras and radar sensors and make sure that they work accurately.

Alignment Rigs and Laser Tools

High-precision alignment rigs and laser tools ensure proper vehicle positioning before calibration.  These tools assist in optimising sensor angles so that systems such as Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) are fully functional.

Software Update Interfaces

Some modern vehicles require a software update as part of the calibration. Our professionals use manufacturer-specific update interfaces which our experts utilise to guarantee all electronic control units communicate correctly.

Benefits of Proper Calibration

Proper calibration ensures that a vehicle’s safety and driver-assistance systems accurately work, and minimise the risk of accidents. It improves performance, meets manufacturer specifications, and avoids expensive repairs due to out-of-align sensors. Euromaster Autohaus, we guarantee accurate calibration, ensuring your vehicle operates safely and efficiently on Newcastle’s roads.

 Enhanced Safety

Accurately calibrated ADAS ensures critical safety features function as intended, reducing the risk of accidents. If sensors are misaligned, they may produce false warnings or fail to detect hazards, therefore, proper calibration is critical for the safety of drivers and passengers.

Optimal Performance

Calibration allows systems such as automatic braking, lane-keeping assistance, and traffic sign recognition to function adequately. However, for vehicles to operate seamlessly, their sensors, and cameras must work in perfect harmony.

Compliance

Actual safety regulations (especially between vehicle manufacturers and insurance companies) require proper calibration. Having your systems properly calibrated helps maintain compliance with industry standards as well as your warranty requirements.

Prevent Costly Repairs

Ignoring calibration issues can lead to larger problems down the line. Damaged sensors can waste your time and money because they can damage elements on the vehicle leading to costly repairs. Routine calibration helps avoid these issues and saves you money in the long run.

Whenever a vehicle’s advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) or electronic control units are compromised, calibration is needed. These types of malfunctioning often impact sensor positioning for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) technology and can include windshield replacements, suspension or steering repairs, and wheel alignments. Even small incidents, like fender benders or striking a pothole, can knock cameras and radar systems out of alignment and require recalibration.

Calibration is also paramount following software updates or after replacing critical components such as cameras, radar sensors, or lidar units. Neglecting to revalidate these systems can lead to false warnings, degraded performance, or a total failure of safety-critical features like lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking.

Here at Euromaster Autohaus, we utilise cutting-edge diagnostic tools to determine if calibration is necessary, allowing all systems to perform exactly as they should. Our expert technicians follow manufacturer guidelines as they restore your vehicle’s safety and performance so you’re protected on the road.
